Come join the Hortus Urbis’ 6th Birthday on March 18th from 10 am to 1 pm, the educational edible garden in the heart of the beautiful Appia Antica Park.

With “BIMBI IN FESTA” the season’s workshops start and follow every Sunday until June. Workshops on bees, cooking, gardending and watercolor awaits you and readings in the garden too.

Hortus Urbis is the first garden based solely on ancient Roman plants surrounded by the woods and the Almone river. What makes it special is also the fact that an abandoned area has been recovered by the local community activating a participatory process for its realization and management with the help of extraordinary volunteers.
