Sunday October 6th at 11 am we are pleased to invite you to the autumn outdoor activities of the Hortus Urbis, the garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely ancient Roman plants, with reading and creative hands on activities.

11 am – LET’S PAINT NATURE USING SOIL! | Workshop for kids by Semidicarta

Brown, orange, yellow…so many are the nuances of colours our Earth is giving to us when wandering and to plants, while they grow. In ancient times, it was sufficient to add water and a few other natural elements to obtain a great variety of colours. Many great artists in old times applied this method to produce masterpieces. Our children will be encouraged to experience the same simple techniques. They will create beautiful paintings using soil, getting inspired by whatever they see around them – Hortus Urbis plants and leaves, the incomparable poetry of the green world.
