Sunday, November  13th we are pleased to invite you to the Autumn outdoor activities of the Hortus Urbis, the garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely plants of the Roman Age.

At  11.00 – “PICCOLI APICULTORI URBANI” Workshop for kids in Italian, by Emanuela Marchini and Juri Eugeni – Azienda Agricola Mamma Lù

A very sweet Sunday where you can make honey in the city! A special experience extracting honey all together just like in old times. A journey through time to learn the very ancient story about honey and bees. Kids will take home their own small jar of sweetness!

Age 6 onwards

Time: 50 minutes

TO SIGN UP

It is strongly recommended to  sign up with an advanced payment on line (15 euro per child or 13 euro with Carta amici del Parco) sending an email to hortus.zappataromana@gmail.com by 1 pm of Friday November 11th. You will receive payment instructions. It is possible to sign up on the spot only for the remaining availability, without reservation, 15 euro per child payment on site.

The cost of the workshop is comprehensive of a jar of honey of the Azienda Agricola Mammalù.

In case of rain the activities will be post-poned

HOW TO REACH US

Hortus Urbis at the former paper mill “ Cartiera Latina”, via Appia Antica, 42 /50 (near the fountain)

Bike: Cristoforo Colombo bike route and Circonvallazione Ardeatina.

Bus: 118 and 218 on the Appia Antica (Domine Quo Vadis stop) or 30express, 714 and 715 (Cristoforo Colombo/Bavastro stop or Cristoforo Colombo/Circonvallazione Ostiense stop) and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.

Car: parking at via Carlo Conti Rossini, Largo Gavaligi, via Omboni, via Scott and surroundings and then  short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.
