Let’s discover again the pleasure of a walk in the country combined with learning! We will collect edible herbs which grow spontaneously; we’ll stay in touch with nature; we’ll spend some of our time in healthy promenades; we’ll learn how to improve and modify our food thanks to new ingredients and new flavors and taste.
Doing so we may add new elements to our diet, important to keep us in good health. Our proposal involves a gradual learning process. Our guided walks will allow the participants to detect and recognize herbs ;to gather them only when it is the right moment; and last but hardly least , to use them in their kitchen.
The course focuses people’s attention on neglected resources and overlooked potentialities offered by the territory .A push towards sustainable economy and a help to promote local areas!
Lesson on Sunday October 18th, 3 pm – 6 pm, observation of the collected edible plant samples present in the Park and diagnostic elements for their recognition. Second excursion for the identification of edible wild plants and indication on their uses in traditional recopies and new creative cooking.
The lessons are held by Giovanni Salerno botanist, florist, friend of the Hortus Urbis, expert in ethnographic botany
